Today’s post is for my fashionista friends who love to shop. This post is for those that love quality instead of quantity items. The “one third rule” might be for you.
One time I went shopping at an outlet mall and found myself buying clothes because it was such a good deal. I couldn’t help it. I got back to the hotel and was going through my finds. Looking at my receipts and finds for the day I remember thinking- “are you kiddin’ me? Did I seriously spend $250 on cheap crap?”
I hope I’m not alone on this. It’s easy to buy things simply because they are on sale. My boyfriend’s mom is the queen of this. She will buy shirts that are $5 and store them in her closet where she may or may not wear- but they were $5.
Be careful of this mentality. Just because something is on sale, does not mean that you should buy it. Watch this video to learn more about what the 1/3 rule is and how it can help you get a great quality wardrobe that looks professional and put together.
