I get asked a lot about building credit, repairing credit and all things credit related.
Most people have very similar situations…. they didn’t know a bill was pending, and it got sent to collections. They didn’t run their credit report, so they had NO IDEA that they had negative marks on the report.
Medical debt is another common one to hit credit reports hards.
So it’s no surprise people ask all the time, “how do I repair my credit?”
My answer is usually the same.
This week’s video is tackling this topic.
In a nutshell, it depends on why you have negative marks on your report.
Most of the time, it’s because we just weren’t paying attention and managing our money they way we should.
Because that is usually what happens, my advice is never to take out more credit without fixing the root cause of the problem- the way we manage money.
Forever livin’ debt free,
Whitney

Great advice. And it’s always best to keep on checking your credit report on a regular basis so any discrepancies can be dealt with as quickly as possible. Not only that but it is important that one starts to work towards having a great credit score from the start as a good credit score goes a long way and will definitely come in handy one way or the other.
