Tips for learning to love your life

Tips for learning to love your life

I remember when I first bought my house.  I was freaking stoked!  It had light carpet, standard features, and had that brand new smell. I loved it. Maybe it started from my furniture flipping side hustle, but I started to see how many great pieces get donated, sold, and trashed when we change our style. 5 questions to ask yourself if you’re feeling unhappy with your life

Sometimes, we wake up and realize that the path we’ve been going down isn’t the right one for us. I remember, when I graduated college and realized that the degree that I spent 4.5 years getting and now working as an Accountant in, wasn’t for me. I started dreading going to work and feeling this pit in my stomach telling… Read More

Saying Goodbye To Patrick- Heartfelt advice for anyone losing their pet

Editors Note: I wrote this days after saying goodbye to Patrick as a way for me to process, cope, and rationalize what happened. It has not been proofread, and there are probably still typos. It just hurts to read through this again, so I hope you’ll overlook that. When I was 19, I found an ad in a newspaper. Someone… Read More

✖️Pay for a monthly service
✖️Bank at a specific financial institution
✖️Use a financial advisor
✖️Invest their money in a specific way

Or make any other financial decision solely because their parent told them to.

It’s not only okay, it’s healthy to make financial decisions based on what’s best for YOU.

And sometimes that means going against the grain of what works for your parents or friends.
Our phase 1 of the kitchen remodel includes:
✖️ installing a kitchen island
✖️painting the kitchen cabinets
✖️ replacing kitchen backsplash

We decided to save the money and NOT replace cabinets or countertops this year (since we are working on some real estate projects).

But there is a blog post live on WhitneyHansen.com with a full tutorial of how to paint your own kitchen cabinets... without sanding.

It was a 2/10 on the difficulty process and 10/10 on the transformation process.😍
